Boston-based ed tech startup Boundless is trying to revolutionize the college textbook market by providing access to free textbooks online that would normally cost an arm and a leg. They do it using open-source content that mirrors the same content in the books themselves.
Needless to say, the textbook industry is none to happy with this idea and have accused Boundless of “old-fashioned copyright theft” and have taken to litigation to settle their differences.
