Eduventures Community Outreach

The mission of the Eduventures Community Outreach group is to make a positive impact on the broader Boston community while forging bonds between co-workers. Through its community service activities, Eduventures provides ongoing support to children and schools in the Boston area and has partnered with organizations such as Everybody Wins, Jumpstart, Citizens Schools, and Make a Wish. We value our commitment to community outreach so highly that each employee's benefits package includes two extra days of paid time off each year to use for community service.

Everybody Wins
Everybody Wins! is a national children's literacy and mentoring nonprofit proven to build the skills and love of reading among low-income elementary students. Once a week, a number Eduventures employees travel to a local elementary school to participate in the Everybody Wins! Power Lunch reading program, where each participating employee is a mentor to an elementary school-aged child. The employee spends this weekly lunch hour reading to the student to foster a love of reading.

Jumpstart
Jumpstart is a national organization dedicated to building literacy, language, social, and initiative skills in young children. Since 1993, Jumpstart has trained nearly 25,000 college students and community volunteers to deliver its program to more than 100,000 preschool children nationwide. Each year, Eduventures participates in Jumpstart's "Read for the Record" which brings national attention to the importance of providing high quality early childhood education for all children by organizing the world's largest shared reading experience. In addition to participating in Jumpstart's "Read for the Record" event, Eduventures has partnered with Jumpstart by painting, cleaning, and organizing classrooms and facilities at 3 local preschools and contributed more than $5,000 in paint and other supplies to support this effort.
