Senior Member Advisors
The Opportunity
Senior Member Advisors report to Program Directors and are responsible for managing Learning Collaborative member retention by leading the Campus Visit portion of the Learning Collaboratives’ deliverables and by participating in the relationship management process. Campus Visits are on-site consulting and strategy sessions with senior development executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Traveling to member campuses to present research findings and recommendations to executives
- Working with member institutions to develop actionable meeting agendas
- Developing custom presentations by aggregating, summarizing, and highlighting program research
- Localizing research findings in high-impact ways that speak directly to member institutions’ stated organizational objectives
- Creating a directive for program fulfillment based on clients’ research interests and needs identified during Campus Visits
- Providing post-meeting support by connecting members with fulfillment staff, passing along previously published research, etc.
- Working with the Director of Member Services to develop content and presentations for the Annual Member Meeting and Member Roundtable conference call meetings
- Participating in a relationship management process that includes an on-boarding call, a six-month check-in call, a nine-month check-in call (as needed), and a renewal call
- Actively pushing relevant research content to members to heighten member engagement in the program
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is required; a graduate degree in a relevant field preferred
- Minimum of five to seven years of professional experience in consulting, account management, or the equivalent
- Compelling written and verbal communication skills
- Strong aptitude for cultivating and managing external client relationships
- Ability to work with executive-level leaders and member institutions in process/organizational redesign projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in university fundraising is a plus
- Travel is required (70-80% time), primarily to major U.S. metropolitan areas
This is a full-time, salaried role with benefits, onsite in our Boston office.
