Outside Sales Executives, The Learning Collaborative

The Opportunity
Eduventures is seeking experienced consultative Sales Executives to drive new business for our Learning Collaboratives. The individuals selected for these positions will be seasoned salespeople who enjoy consistently meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual goals. The ideal candidates are polished professionals who desire to be out in the field, building new relationships with senior academic executives and administrators at major colleges and universities.

Sales executives are compensated with a base salary and unlimited commission-earning potential. Benefits include a competitive salary, excellent health and dental coverage, life insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) program with company contributions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering in-person presentations to customer prospects
  • Engaging in consultative sales discussions with prospects at their campuses or relevant conferences
  • Effectively articulating the value of research program services to prospects
  • Generating new leads via networking and cross-selling
  • Managing sales pipeline using CRM database
  • Attending relevant program-related events to support development of domain expertise
  • Working effectively with sales team members in the identification and dissemination of best practices

Requirements

  • Proven success in outside sales with a demonstrated ability to achieve sales quotas
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Compelling written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivation, high-energy, and charisma
  • A well-developed understanding and expertise in the consultative sales approach
  • A business-oriented, entrepreneurial mind-set that can flexibly respond to new challenges
  • Proven ability to help senior executives at academic institutions think through business problems and create opportunity
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with the higher education community is a plus
  • A bachelor's degree; an M.B.A. or M.Ed. is a plus
  • Travel is required (50% time)
