New Book by Eduventures’ Senior Fellow Joseph M. Cronin, Ph.D.
Joseph M. Cronin has written a new book, Reforming Boston Schools 1930-2006: Overcoming Corruption and Racial Segregation, which is being released by Palgrave Macmillon. The book covers the many forces that pushed Boston into educational reform, including teacher militancy, civil rights struggles, the courts, corporate initiatives, and university partnerships.
Dr. Cronin has spent his career serving the education market in the Boston area, with roles as professor and dean at Harvard and Lesley Universities and President of Bentley College. He was also the first Massachusetts Secretary of Education. Dr. Cronin is currently one of Eduventures’ Senior Fellows. In this capacity he serves as advisor to Eduventures Schools of Education Learning Collaborative and Consulting Services group.
Dr. Cronin is also the author of The Control of Urban Schools and Organizing an Urban School System for Diversity.
