EDUCATION SERVICES AND
STUDENT AFFAIRS PRACTICES
Jane Smalec and Lisa Famularo Bring Significant Experience and Knowledge to Eduventures
(Boston, MA) July 18, 2007 - To meet the needs of Eduventures' ever-growing service offerings for the higher education community, Eduventures is pleased to announce the addition of Jane Smalec, former Chief Financial Officer at Kaplan University, and Lisa Famularo, former Manager of the Social and Government Research Group at TNS, to Eduventures' consulting and research staff.
Jane brings 20-plus years of domestic and international experience to Eduventures. She served in finance, financial and accounting operations, and strategy development roles at such organizations as MedVance Institute, Kaplan University, and McKinsey & Co. As Senior Consultant for Eduventures Education Services, Jane will help colleges and universities solve complex global problems including evaluating new and existing on-campus and online programs, improving marketing effectiveness, and guiding institutions to organize for and launch online higher education programs.
Lisa will serve as Program Director, responsible for the overall research agenda of the member-based Student Affairs Learning Collaborative, which provides research, analysis, best practices, and peer networking opportunities to colleges and universities. She will also manage the research team fulfilling custom research requests for program members. Lisa comes to Eduventures with more than 18 years of experience conducting and managing a wide variety of quantitative and qualitative research projects, particularly in the higher education landscape. Lisa received her Ph.D. in educational research, measurement, and evaluation from Boston College.
