EDUVENTURES AND THE REEHER GROUP TO
COLLABORATE ON NEW RESEARCH INITIATIVE
'TRANSITIONING DONORS TO HIGHER GIFT
LEVELS'
Study will explore motivations of major gift donors to colleges and universities.
(Boston, MA and St. Paul, MN) July 19, 2007 - Eduventures and The Reeher Group have announced they will partner on a new research initiative - "Transitioning Donors to Higher Gift Levels" - centered around providing insight for Eduventures' member institutions into major donors' motivations and characteristics. The study will also analyze historical relationship activity leading up to an individual becoming a major donor.
The Reeher Group and Eduventures are committed to assisting college and university advancement offices in improving and maintaining their constituent relationships and in generating financial resources for their institutions. The joint research project will combine The Reeher Group's deep analytics capabilities and vertical expertise with Eduventures' thought leadership and access to a wide range of peer information through its Development Learning Collaborative.
Andy Reeher, President of The Reeher Group, stated, "Every institution grapples with understanding how to improve the use of their resources to maximize the cultivation efforts that lead to engaging their relationships to the point of becoming a major donor. The opportunity for both firms to work jointly on this initiative allows us to work with a respected and growing voice in the industry on a project we believe will bring new ideas and observations on an a relevant and applicable issue."
"Our partnership with The Reeher Group and the resulting research will support Eduventures as we continue to demonstrate our commitment to bringing our members the best available analytic support." said Brent Keltner, Senior Vice President of Eduventures.
The first component of this study will help member institutions understand the patterns of contact and timeline involved in cultivation efforts and in accelerating donors towards a first-time major gift. The second will focus on donor experiences during the cultivation process and key factors that motivated them to become major donors.
